Denim fashion by Christopher Jaydon

Christopher Jaydon is nog een nobele onbekende maar toen ik foto's van zijn creaties zag was mijn eerste reactie 'Cool'! Ziehier de foto's en beslis zelf maar wat je ervan vindt. Ik vind het alvast origineel en het laat me met ander ogen naar denim kijken.

Weer een reeks waar fotografie en mode in samenvloeien. Maar deze keer op een manier die je niet zou verwachten, gemaakt door Joseph Ford. Verbluffend mooi en verdomd moeilijk om te realiseren vermoed ik.

Stella Jean SS13 - Vlisco

Mooie SS13 collectie van Italiaans-Haïtiaans ontwerpster Stella Jean. Haar roots zie je duidelijk terug in haar stof- en printgebruik dat ze vertaalt in haar geheel eigen stijl.
Beautiful SS13 collection of Italian-Haitian designer Stella Jean. Her roots are clearly reflected in its fabric and print use which she translates into her own style.

Toevallig heb ik zelf 2 van zulke stoffen gekocht op de stoffenbeurs. Ik weet nog niet wat ik ervan ga maken maar lelijk kan het met zo'n stof niet worden.

Coincidentally, I bought two of these fabrics at the fabric fair. I don't know yet what I'm going to create with it, but something made of such fabric cant't become ugly.

Voor diegenen die geïnteresseerd zijn in deze soort stoffen. Vlisco is dé leverancier en komt uit ... Nederland :)  Ze zijn zeer gekend voor het gebruik van de wax print techniek.

Zij hebben nu een prachtige campagne opgezet. De 'Hommage à l'art' zet hun stoffen en met name hun prints in de kijker met deze mooie foto's en collectie.
